aBOUT THE PROJECT
Enjoy classic gameplay with the addition of every action streaking colours across your screen. Unlock powerful colour themed abilities and game changing passives to aid you in your journey across a fading grey continent, The Canvas. Composed of six intertwined regions each with their own compelling characters, puzzles, bosses, original soundtracks, and mysteries to unravel!
Every environment has been hand-drawn twice, one haunting and monochrome, the other striking and vibrant. Using a combination of creative thinking and colourful expression you can alter The Canvas in real time, and traverse Museful in your own way.
The Colour Thief looms large, a fearsome figure who wishes to wash The Canvas in grey. You and your companions must decide how the tale continues in this rich branching narrative, filled with heart-warming moments and thought-provoking conflict. Every choice you make will affect those around you, as you shape a story where emotions and colours are restored, or sealed away forever.
A demo for Museful will be playable on Steam in early 2026, with a full release planned for Q2 2027.
About the Studio
Nostalgicat

We’re creating unforgettable experiences, ones that inspire young players and provide comfort to those who’ve long known what games are about: Fun.
We relish the opportunity to create together in-person (especially as one team member works remotely), at the catalytic development hothouse as described by the many past DunDev participants we have networked with.
Having structured support from industry experts and other likeminded teams, as well as a period of increased financial security, would allow our team to fully embrace the next stage of Museful’s development.
We see DunDev as an chance to stretch our wings when it comes to workflow and communication. Dundee would be the perfect setting to see the studio flourish professionally as we refine and focus our roles.
About the Team

Roy Chen
Roy Chen is Museful's talented 2D Artist, she loves to draw... a lot. For her, creating art is like writing a diary, each piece full of memories and feelings. She travelled to the UK with Tony to become a children's book illustrator. Roy enjoys sharing creative updates on her Instagram.

Thomas Fyfe
Tom Fyfe has spent a long time in academia over the past decade - specialising in project management, design thinking, problem solving - if you name it, he's (probably) made a decent run at it. His passion is now in game development - as an Audio Designer, Composer and Producer.

Alec Minter
Alec Minter is the Creative Director, Programmer and Writer for Museful. He's been playing games and vibing with his favourite soundtracks since he first picked up Pokemon Blue. Alec spends his time writing code and stories, forever inspired by his team and all the games (mostly RPGs) that came before.

Tony Hsu
Tony Hsu is Museful's Game Designer and Technical Artist. He trained as an architect in Taiwan before travelling to study games art in the UK, seeking to collaborate and create experiences that can be enjoyed together - like when he'd compete (in a friendly way) against his Dad on FIFA.
