DunDev 2026

All four studios from this year’s DunDev have secured Prototype Fund support from UK Games Fund.

DunDev focuses on strengthening the entrepreneurial capabilities of highly promising, early-stage studios, while also providing dedicated time and space to move the needle on their games’ development. Drawing on expertise from across the UK Games Fund network, participating studios benefited from one-to-one sessions with experienced industry mentors, investors and professional development coaches, alongside group workshops and networking opportunities with engaged publishers and peers.

Kirsty Gibson, Head of Impact at UK Games Fund, said:

“DunDev 2026 showcased the very best of what a hothousing residential programme can offer. These highly promising early-stage studios embraced every opportunity and challenge the month presented. Since leaving Dundee at the end of January, we’ve reflected on the entrepreneurial, community-driven innovation that drove significant progress in both business and game development. Each studio left better equipped, more knowledgeable and better connected than when they arrived. We have high hopes for their continued success and look forward to supporting their growth as part of the UK Games Fund portfolio.”

The four studios joining the UK Games Fund portfolio of funded companies are:

  • MVGIE Studio
  • Mothlight Studios
  • Jardus Games
  • Nostalgicat
  • Reflecting on the DunDev experience, Alec Minter of Nostalgicat said:

“Now that DunDev is complete it’s hard to imagine where we’d be without it, and we’re thrilled we had the opportunity to take part. The office was fantastic, giving plenty of space to focus when required, but encouraging collaboration with other teams in an organic way. Being surrounded by that much diverse talent is truly inspiring. We also had the chance to reunite with some familiar faces in the wider Game Dev community and meet a whole new bunch of industry professionals that were welcoming and supportive.”
