aBOUT THE PROJECT

Dreaded Wunder is a psychological horror game based in Norwich and including myths and legends, such as our very own take on the Black Shuck. You play as Ash, A young adolescent who escape shuck once before, but now shuck has come to take what its owed. But in having escaped shuck, an omen of death, you are marked. Others will now be out for you as well, to be marked by a death omen, is to be made to look over your shoulder for the rest of your days.

We plan to release the game after 13 months of funded development and aim to release a demo of the game to steam around Halloween to begin to spark some interest in the game. During DunDev, our focus will be on further developing the narrative, refining assets & animations and developing more skills for marketing our IP. There are some skill gaps we are aware of and aim to use this time to push the development forward. By the end of DunDev we hope to secure funding, both with the UKGF and a publisher, leading on to full time development of Dreaded Wunder.

About the Studio

Hunters Moon Games

Hunters Moon Games is a studio dedicated to creating games that are inspired by local mythology and legends. Starting with our Debut IP, Dreaded Wunder, we are looking to take creatures found in British folklore and bring them to life through the use of combining them with eldritch themes. The team is made of 5 members; Our asset designer and texture artist Alice Whitmarsh, Concept artist and character designer Dann Bridges, Social media manager Ty Doughty, Level designer and programmer Daniel Chung and Producer, programmer and animator Ryan Drewry. We are hoping to use our time at DunDev to further develop our own skills and knowledge within our respective fields and gain a better understanding of practises within development to help give us the best chance of become a sustainable studio. We want to become a studio that can offer support and give opportunities to those looking to enter the industry, With plans in future to set up a mentor programme in collaboration with our university. To take on those in their final year of education and give them the hands-on experience they need to apply to the job they want to once they graduate.

Producer

Ryan Drewry is the Producer, Programmer and Animator for Hunters Moon Games. "We've come a long way from a group of students working on our final project, Its not an easy task to form up with a group and make something together, But Its well worth it".

Alice Whitmarsh

3D Modeller

Alice Whitmarsh is the 3D Modeller and Texture Creator for Hunters Moon Games. "Working on our game Dreaded Wunder has been an incredibly eye-opening experience, I have improved upon my modelling skills greatly throughout this project so far and hope to continue expanding my knowledge as the project continues."

Daniel Chung

Level Designer

Daniel Chung is the Level Designer, AI Programmer and Cinematographer for Hunters Moon Games. "We're very lucky to be in this situation after months of hard work, from initially getting together for a final project to then form our very own game company was not something I expected!"

Dann Bridges

Concept Artist

Dann Bridges is the concept artist for Hunters Moon Games, "I aspire to make art that inspires and intrigues fans and helps grow interest with our game. I'm really exited to share the journey with them and the team!"

Ty Doughty

Community Manager

Ty Doughty is the Community Manager for Hunters Moon Games. "Working with the team on Dreaded Wunder has allowed me to increase my skills as a Community manager handing all our social media, I hope to continue learning more and expanding my knowledge as the project continues"
